The 144,000 of Israel Sealed – Revelation 7:1-8

7 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree. ² Then I saw another angel ascending from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea, ³ saying, “Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads.” ⁴ And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:

⁵ 12,000 from the tribe of Judah were sealed,
12,000 from the tribe of Reuben,
12,000 from the tribe of Gad,
⁶ 12,000 from the tribe of Asher,
12,000 from the tribe of Naphtali,
12,000 from the tribe of Manasseh,
⁷ 12,000 from the tribe of Simeon,
12,000 from the tribe of Levi,
12,000 from the tribe of Issachar,
⁸ 12,000 from the tribe of Zebulun,
12,000 from the tribe of Joseph,
12,000 from the tribe of Benjamin were sealed.

The Lamb and the 144,000 – Revelation 14:1-5

14 Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. ² And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps, ³ and they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders. No one could learn that song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. ⁴ It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. It is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These have been redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb, ⁵ and in their mouth no lie was found, for they are blameless.

Do not get deceived with magical thinking and sometimes advanced conspiracies. Read the text as it is found, yes by revelation but not at the cost of simple truth. It is actually quite easy to determine who the 144,000 of God will be. In order to eliminate confusion and distraction in these end times I tell you plainly now.

The 144,000 from Revelation 7 & 14 are 144,000 young children even babies who are direct blood descendants from the lineage of the 12 tribes of Israel. Even more their blood line goes back all the way to the 12 sons of Jacob, Israel. Jacob being the son of Isaac, Isaac being the promised son of Abraham, the Father of faith. They and the great multitude from every nation, the Church and Bride of Christ make up the Elect of God. We all being the body of Christ, the sealed of the LORD’s, a family and royal priesthood. The 144,000 being a remnant chosen in advance, out of the free will and love of God apart from the decisions of man.

They are children, so young as to have been virgins. They are children so young that “in their mouth no lie was found”. They are children, “for they are blameless”. They are not magical beings, they are not gentiles, they are not the complete elect and redeemed of mankind. They are children, descendant of Jacob. So that no matter how many of the children of Israel fall away in their unbelief, the LORD may always be able to say as He did through the Prophet Malachi in Malachi 1:2-3 and also from the Apostle Paul in Romans 9:13 “Jacob I have loved, and Esau I have hated.” 144,000 children sealed for the Day of the LORD.

I believe that the 144,000 are very young children with blood lineage back to the 12 sons of Israel and that may be as small as 1% -100% Jewish lineage. It could be a baby who is mostly gentile, with a small fraction of Jewish DNA but they will have in them that life from one of the sons of Jacob. So it could be your baby, or my baby or any baby that fits some level of being a descendant.

Now, the when. I believe the 144,000 are sealed at the same moment the believing Christians are sealed for the rapture. I believe in a pre-tribulation rapture with room for a mid-tribulation rapture but never a post- tribulation rapture. The Bride of Christ will not endure the 7 bowls of God’s wrath from Revelation 16 during The Great Tribulation the last 3.5 years of the 7 year 2550 day Tribulation. So I believe before the Tribulation or the Great Tribulation that Jesus Christ will appear over the Earth and with the sound of a trumpet will call forth his sealed from the Earth. Harvesting the Elect for the Resurrection and Wedding Supper of the Lamb. So, the 144,000 are very young children at the time of the rapture who God has sealed for that purpose by His sovereign choice alone. They are separate than the rest of the Church and Bride of Christ but in Election they are of the the tree of faith and life.

So they are apart of the rapture. And if the rapture has already happened for you. They are in Heaven with the rest of the children and chosen of God. They will return with the Groom, Christ Himself and His Bride the Church on the last day when he will descend from the Heavens on clouds and His feet shall touch the mount of olives. Maranatha.
